Raio Verde - for some, just a green flash; for others, the center of their world.

This legendary bar in Praia do Cabedelo, Viana do Castelo, in the mid-50's was a very special time and place to be a part of.

Sr. Alves, the owner and his bar, have stood the test of time—slowly fading into history, yet never forgotten.

But no explanation, no mix of stories or laughter or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time in the world. Whatever it meant.

Like Fernando, 29, owner of @leao.deslizantes, cruising Cabedelo in his ‘75 Mercedes and shaping boards the old-school way—no rush, no compromise—dedicated a board series to Raio Verde.

These boards were designed as a tribute to simpler times and mimic 80's competition thruster models. They are adorned with “fake sponsors”, that are in fact hand picked legendary, dead or still running local businesses from that era.

It’s that same spirit behind Bukowski's famous words: "Find what you love, and let it kill you."
