DENIM TYPE I

Last Christmas, I had the idea to make our Melou version of the classic TYPE I denim jacket — a short and boxy, single-chestpocket jacket with front pleats and a cinch back.

January and the first half of February were busy between workshops in Portugal and some necessary website maintenance.

Finally, over the last two weeks, I found a few days to make the first version of the jacket.

For me, it’s impossible to arrive at the perfect product on the first attempt. But once the first version and patterns exist, it becomes much easier to move towards what I have in mind.

Now is time to use it and let others try it before the model is approved and goes into production.
