We often look far for inspiration — in athletes like Steve Prefontaine or Mikel Landa, in timeless creators like Picasso. But sometimes, what moves us is much closer.

In people like our friend Luna King — studying design, building stages in the desert and running a 3D studio called BaLu Design from the van she built herself.

Now she’s packing up one life to begin another, on the other side of the world. Australia is next.
But for a moment, we’re lucky to have her here.

“Growing up with a German mother and an English father, but raised under the sun of southern Spain, I’ve always drifted between cultures and identities.”

That’s how Luna describes herself — shaped by contrasts, but grounded in warmth.

For her, life is about awareness. As she puts it: “It’s in that softness, that slower rhythm, where real beauty begins. With time, with patience, with love—the best meals take hours, wildflowers grow without permission and the truest things are born.”

This isn’t a story about doing something big. It’s an ode to the freedom of being oneself. To light-heartedness. To raw nature. To fragility, accepted.

Where do you feel at home?

It’s a question that returns to us again and again, shifting shape as we move through life. For Luna, it used to be a place — somewhere under the sun in southern Spain. But with time, the sense of home starts to blur, stretch and eventually evolve into something more internal, more emotional than geographical.

Luna reminds us to slow down, to feel deeply and to let life unfold at its own pace.
