We go back to the winter of ’73, west coast Portugal. Only a few surfers were out then, testing their game in the raw power of Supertubos. One of them, our friend Tad Ciastula.
A few years back, we sat down with Tad and Dani Vila — generations apart, both shapers and artists. Nothing planned, just surf talk and a few sketches on scrap paper. That’s how Juicy Walls Surfboards began.

The idea was simple: bring old knowledge to the table — Tad’s experience surfing empty line up's around the world in 60-70's and early years shaping Vitamin Sea Surfboards, Dani’s eye for form and texture — and mix it with new ideas.
We built a few boards; the Mid Length Twin Pin stood out, bringing smooth, retro lines back to the lineup.

We like spending time on Juicy Walls whenever Melou allows it. It’s always a good excuse to catch up with old friends and have fun shaping boards or designing new clothes. Hopefully, we’ll find some time over the next few months.
