The Melou Expedition jacket is the best choice for those heavy cold climate conditions. Inspired on a jacket made for Antartic expeditions in the late 50's by Eddie Bauer brand.
MATERIAL
The outer fabric is a 60% cotton and 40% polyester waterproof fabric with 150g/m2 weight in marino color padded with 320g/m2 weight polyester insulation mesh. For the linen we have used a 100% merino wool fabric with 450g/m2 weight, manufactured in Spain by 'Artesanía Textil de Grazalema'.
Merino wool is a good insulator as well as being excellent at regulating body temperature, providing warmth without overheating us and drawing moisture away from the skin. Merino wool naturally resists flames and has hypoallergenic properties making it an ideal choice for those with allergies or sensitive skin.
