Ruta Habana by Yojany Pérez Rivera

"No matter where my feet stand, my heart is in Cuba."
Through the lens of our friend Yojany Pérez Rivera, a Cuban skater, surfer and artist now living in Barcelona, this is a journey of movement, resistance, and identity. A story told in raw, untouched moments.
Now, more than ever, my mind drifts to my island from afar. The waves and the skate spots have changed, the streets have shifted.
Today, as I return to being an instructor, I remember the magic of my Havana. I go over every set I rode under that sun, in the foam of the waves on Calle 70, near the hotels. My Cuba is now thousands of kilometers away, and I begin a new chapter in Barcelona. It is this city, its architecture, and its characters that my lens now seeks to understand, capture, and immortalize.
